I just realized the only time I auditioned for a professional theatre company was when I auditioned for Pippi Longstocking at the Minneapolis Children's Theatre when I was 12 and they made me sing a song from Oliver. I don't remember it though... lol

pippi!

giggle

I'd have made a great Pippi! hmph! They didn't know what they were missing.

i mean an oliver that is a masochist?

headbang

break a leg... don't forget you are a good performer and it's all about the mixture of different personalities, which is beyond your control most of the time.

i went in and read, and did really well.

they offered it to me, but i said no. the schedule is one that it would mean i have to miss an entire week of work, which i am not willing to do for the very small amount of money they are offering for the show. my job pays me too well and has been too good to me to miss that much work and put a huge strain on the women i work for. if the show were guaranteed a longer run than just this short one, i would think about it, but at this point it's not feasible.

so, it's back to focusing on my co-writer and my christmas show. we did get some good news there, though. the bar he works at has a small theatre that we started out our last show in, and they are happy to have us back for the christmas show (we made them a lot of money with our last show) FREE OF CHARGE!! so, our christmas show is already going to turn a big profit, and we can spend more of our budget on the show as opposed to the space... YAY!!
