Dinner with an 86 year old and his 30 years younger girlfriend and they just moved in together.

Milan is pretty unique.Survived WWII "staying ahead of the Nazis". Was widowed years ago and his Asian 50 something girlfriend just moved in.(they dated for 8 years) They won't get married as she loses a pension from her deceased husband. He's as sharp as a tack and always has interesting stories.
Who do you know that's much older, and have a tremendous amount of respect for??

My Father, he is a wonderful man. Set aside all of our tiffs when I was a teenager and in my early 20's (college years), he understands me more then my mother ever will and we have a way better relationship then me and my mother ever will. Recently he has had some major medical heart problems along with a neck surgery to replace a sliped vertibrae in his upper neck. Seeing him in a hospital hooked up to IV's, heart monitors and such has given me much more respect for him.

Plus when I get upset with my mother his response his..."Well Jessica, I have put up with these same things from your mother for 30 some years, now guess what it is your turn." "Thanks Dad" lol Now you know where I get my sarcasm from.... lol

Milan is Jewish and hid in Italy in the Austi Spimoni (sp?) area. He's Yugoslavian.
We always give him a bottle of the stuff when we visit. He appreciates it.
He was in the underground fighting. He was 16 when the whole thing started.

edit, I spelled Yugoslavian correctly..
