God pet names make me wanna I am so not into all that mushy mushy stuff. My parents gave me the name Jessica for a reason, so others can call me by that name, you can shorten it to Jess as most people do. Call me Jessie and your likely to get I hate that. Jessie is a boys name, however my grandmother gets away with it, because well she is my grandmother and it would be wrong if I an 80 year old women.

Funny my sister is the same way, her name is Melissa and hates being called Missy, but I do it and I am the only one she lets call her that. Anyone else she lectures them about how that is not her name and to not call her that.
