I like a good looking building but it's not an absolute. I would avoid any place that looked like a jail or too 50's-70's. I either want it very old or very new... & none of that courtyard/pool in the middle shit, too fucking noisy I was thinking back on all my apartments in my life and yes, they all had architectural charm. Either dark woodwork with chandeliers, ornate ceiling molding with stained glass windows in the hallway, cedar shingles and a painted rainbow over the door, and now I have built-in Victorian glass cabinets and a profusion of nasturtiums around my door.
