I'm brunette (under natural circumstances). Not attracted to blond-haired men. Prefer dark hair and not very tall.

Speaking of... we just hike Squaw Peak this morning...

...

A thought just came over me right now (as I was blow drying my hair). I suppose I always go on dates with myself, I joke with many of my friends "I am my own best friend". I would rather go to dinner alone, watch a movie alone, even travel alone. I find that taking certain friends is so much work at times. With my job lately, the last thing I want to hear on my personal/valued time, are more problems. I've reached a point in life where I would rather spend time with myself, I don't feel alone (most of the time). Today is Cinco De Mayo and the thought of being surrounded by tons of people/drinking is such a turn-off. So, I am getting ready, putting on some comfy scrub pants, having a movie night, drinking a few Corona Lights w/lime and with that, I will be in peaceful heaven. Could that mean I am drawn to myself, if I feel time with myself is the greatest time on earth!? lol I was just thinking... although this is entirely true.

I must say that I'm a narcisist, so I guess I'm secretly attracted to myself (once I masturbated in front of the mirror while I was looking at my own eyes and I found it...funny and exciting lol ); and it's also true that I'm attracted to girls that are similiar to me...

i think there are many reasons why we find people attractive
i can see the logic behind the idea, but i dont believe it holds true really

i want a partner who compliments me, not one that looks like my twin, thats fucking weird...

I think you have to be confident with yourself and love yourself enough for others to consider you sexy/attractive.

If that means you're attracted to yourself then so be it. I call it confidence ( and I do think I'm sexy!!)

A few years ago I had a girlfriend who was bisexual, which was fun since we could check out girls together. Eventually I realized that not only did she go for a certain type of looks, it was actually her own looks! The features, the body type, everything about these girls kind of looked like my girlfriend herself. It made me laugh and made her a bit embarrassed but also fascinated since she saw that I was right.

Since then I started to notice that a lot of people seem to go for someone who looks like themselves, kind of like dog owners often pick dogs that look a bit like themselves. So if you're completely honest, do you sometimes or even often go for the female or male version of yourself (depending on your gender and orientation)?

I find the phenomenon quite fascinating. smile

OMG! I do this.

I am not bisexual, however.

I can recognize beauty in women and I most like brown skin girls with long hair (at least to brastrap length), parted in the middle -- like me. Which is why I had Naomi Campbell in my avatar for so many years!!!

And if they have wicked arched eye brows and are haughty, that's even better! razz

I can appreciate other forms of beauty ...but when I see a brown-skin girl with long hair and the classic middle part, I always think "She's so cute!" razz

I also am drawn to my body shape. Interesting.

I don't necessary like guys who are like me. I do like choocolate men, but I've been attracted to the complete opposite, a wide variety of men.

EDITED TO ADD:
1. Also, in my past I've had a couple of best friends who look like me. I will stare a look-alike down upon first meeting and then instantly fall into friendship. It's so cute! smile

2. As for personality ... I am attracted to peer rebels but not philosophers ..I like listeners so they can constantly listen to me ramble about my philosophies without interruption. I have opinions ON EVERYTHING. And I DO NOT like others like that.

mad smile

Wow, we are so different in some ways. I'm a very independent person but I still prefer the company of others over solitude. Of course I can get annoyed by random drunken strangers in the same way as you, but if it's a choice between spending a weekend with a good friend and spending it alone, I almost always pick the friend. Experiences of nature and the wilderness can be fitting for a solo excursion though. It can be quite cleansing to walk around alone and look at things and ponder life. nod

So you're not just attracted to similar-looking people, you're actually attracted to yourself too. That's really interesting, and quite useful too since I'm sure you wouldn't turn yourself down for sex. smile

Judging by the way you describe yourself, I would be attracted to myself too if I were you. smile

I'm a bit similar. I'm very opinionated and although I really appreciate people with opinions and ideas, I don't want them to force them upon me like I sometimes force my opinions onto others. lol

Around my height, YES...

My chest is ample & I do find that I don't go for skinny/scrawny/bird chest kinda dudes - they MUST have some degree of muscle or weight on them, a decent chest & shoulders is pretty mandatory or I feel like they're just too fucking frail...

But nothing else is really LIKE ME I don't think, especially in the leg department - mine are skinny unfortunately & I love nice, muscular legs on a guy...

And for the most part I tend to like dudes that are darker-skinned than me...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

My 'type' is dark-haired and taller than me, so as far as the physical appearance goes: no. Still, I do like men who are very energetic, men who know how to dance, and dare to use their body like myself.

Most of my girlfriends however are small and slim, just like me. People often ask me if Liske (a very good friend) and I are sisters.
