So, what should I do to prepare? And what is there to do and see and stuff?

I'm actually not too far. New York City that is. wink

hmmm Well I know what I'm gonna wear. I'm more concerned about what I should see. One thing I'm doing so far is I'm going to the World Cafe on friday to check out this show.

But I'm thinking of doing some shopping too. I heard South Philly has a good shopping district.

Yeah, I think it was South Street that I was thinking of. I've been told that it's the equivalent of the Village here in New York City.

It's a sorry rendition of the Village. There are some boutiques with different or unique items to buy. There are quite a few bars. Fat Tuesday is pretty popular. They serve frozen alcoholic drinks - if you go and like to drink, that's an OK spot to try. It gets VERY crowded on the weekends so be prepared.

The Art Museum is great! (DO refrain from doing the Rocky theme song/run up the steps! It's not as cute as most folk think it is.lol )

Great galleries and music venues in Philly.
If you feel like stepping out of the city for a day, New Hope is a nice riverside town not too far.

King of Prussia is ok, if you're into malls. Personally, I try to stay out of them whenever I can help it, especially if on vacation, but I know some love 'em.

Maybe this will help: http://www.gophila.com/

Have fun!
