MY POOR DOGGIE

My poor dog Diego has had to go to the vets to be "de-bobbled" (castrated). We got him from an animal shelter and one of the provisions that we had him was that he would be de-bobbled. Well that time has arrived and he does look very lonely, sad and puzzled.

Please send Diego your get better thoughts and think about him later today when he comes home sore and feeling sorry for himself and has to wear that collar around his neck for 10 days. No nookie for Diego now....oh well.... eek omg paw hug

It's good really, he'll get over it quickly. Unless he's purebred and intended for breeding in the first place there's really no reason not to have him neutered. smile

It's prolly a dominance thing, or relieving stress. Either way I'd kick their ass to the curb demon biggrin

Agreed. It is a smart idea to get your pet neutered or spayed if you don't plan on breeding it. Stray/abused/unwanted animals are too prevalent in this country, sad to say.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

If your dog is anything like my beagle Rocket he will be fine. I was very worried about him when I had this done to him thinking he will be in pain and not like himself but as soon as I brought him home he was fine and running around like nothing happened. I think what bothered him the most was that cone around his neck biggrin .

Yeah, that lamp shade isn't very nice... when Uz had to wear one when she'd impaled herself on a stick running around in the woods, I cut out the upper half so she could still see and hear properly but not get to the wound down on her chest.

comfort Sorry to hear about your tailbone and your allergies, that's never any fun. No job yet, still strongly considering moving to NC.

latest on Diego is that he came back from the vets and was very sore and we had to get some painkillers for him. He is very aggravated about the cone around his head and he keeps trying to lick the wound and the cone is catching on the stitches. Still didn't stop him having a tin of meat though!

Has to have the cone for 10 days....10 days of hell with a rebellious dog wanting to lick is non-existence nuptials ..oh well for the love of a dawg...eh!

lol paw

Awww, poor Diego. Sounds to me like the cone is one size too small, believe it or not. It should NOT get caught on the stitches. confused Also, you might wanna consider cutting the cone out like I did, so that the upper part is cut away so he can see and hear ok but not get to the stitches. If you like I can post a pic of what I did to mine. smile
