I GOT A NEW JOB!!!!!! YAYYY!!!! JUST WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!
but now i feel guilty because as most of you know, my grandmother passed away last week. The funeral was yesterday and my current job sent me flowers. It was a very sweet gesture, especially when I didn't expect them to send me nothing at all. So today I found out that I have this great job offer, paying me more money, better benefits, and opportunities for growth.....I should be jumping off of the walls, but not only do I have to give my two week notice letter tomorrow, but I also have to leave early to get my drug testing done for the new job. I feel like i'm kicking them in the face, yet this new job is something that i really deserve and want more than anything. so why can't i just be happy and content with everything??? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Congrats on the new job, I'm happy for you. I know you were bored at your old one. Don't worry about your former company being angry or upset that you're leaving. They'll get over it. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Gosh, that does sound a bit cold. [Edited 5/1/07 18:53pm] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's normal for you to feel guilty about being happy right now, just try to not let that feeling control your life

Try not to feel guilty about the other things going on - enjoy this opportunity because you deserve it

You have to do this for yourself, don't worry about your current job. people always feel like that when they have to leave - companies induce it so you will stay! But you are allowed to take this and enjoy it, just for YOU

Congrats!
You needed something positive to happen, and this job sounds great. Don't feel guilty, we all move on to new jobs, just think of it as you clearing the way for someone else to have a job where you used to work.

Congratulations on the new job. Growth and advancement are wonderful things give the people at your current job the benefit of the doubt, they shouldn't hold this opportunity against you. Give them a suffiecient notice and leave enough info for your replacement to fall right into step. Enjoy the feeling of success don't cheat yourself. We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

thanks. so i did give me two weeks notice letter to my supervisor and my boss. My supervisor was actually happy for me, she told me how much she appreciated me and the work that i've done. but my boss, he actually acted kind of snobbish, he kept mentioning the fact that he thought that since i had a degree that he didn't think i would have lasted in that position as long as i had. in other words, he had expected to leave them after one of year of me being there. i looked at him with a smirk on my face. he couldn't have just said well good luck to you and i appreciate all that you have done while employed here....well he did eventually but he said it fast and as i was walking out of his office. and at this point i was so glad that after another two weeks i don't have deal with his ass NO MO'!!!! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
