This kinda happened to me also. It wasnt fair at all.

I was working for a company, and saw the profits grow as my designs were selling so well. I approached my boss and asked him for a raise. He offered said amount, and I was like no way, I was expecting 5 times what he offered. So he said he couldnt possibly go to that amount. I asked him to think about it over the weekend, cos I know my worth, and I wouldnt accept less. (Well yes it was an incredible amount, esp what he was used to handing out.. )

He knew he couldnt lose me so reluctantly agreed on the figure.

I was so happy with myself.

Anyway, it was kept secret, but obviously accounts, knew about it when they were processing my pay, and the woman who worked there kicked up a stink that I was getting paid more than her, she had worked there longer, she was twice my age etc etc

I thought, well fuckkk.. you work in money, why couldnt you negotiate with the boss.. I am just a designer.. wacky

so she demanded the same amount of money as me or she would leave.

She got the same amount as me,. but fuck, it was me who had to do the hard work in the first place.. I got paid what I was worth and she who worked in money all her life couldnt approach her own boss who she had known years and said look here, where is my pay rise?

confused

At least a snoop had to find out about your pay, you weren't goofy enough to just TELL someone sad

Just go back and tell them you left something out...your wizardry with butt plugs makes you an invaluable ass-et.

I absolutely HATE that situation and was recently in it myself.

Only saving grace for me was I didn't spill the info myself, my boss did so then she had to deal with it.

It's not so bad that you told her. I mean, in hindsight, it would have been better left unsaid, but what sucks is that your name may very well get dragged into something that has nothing to do with you.

We I got hired on full time they wanted to drop my wages $8/hr. Needless to say I was a bit pissed and fought it. I was fighting for myself. If my co-workers wanted to accept what was offered that's their business.

Luckily, the coworker that saw what she wasn't suppose to see has never tried to talk to me about it. lol

Anyways, hang in there. You stepped into the middle, so you might have some shit to deal with, but think of it as nothing more than a mild irritant.

Thanks everybody for the advice & support. I plan to talk to my boss about it, not that I wanna cut this chick off @ the knees BUT I do want them to know that I'm not a willing participant in some shit that's about to ensue - yes I put info out there that shouldn't have been & I take responsibility for that, but I have no part in anything past that.

Anyway, thanks y'all...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I hate office drama. hate it.

My boss doesn't know how to supervise so she's constantly leaning on me to work things out between her and my co-workers. Fuck I should get double the wage I'm getting, having to counsel my boss the way I do. rolleyes mad

Oh I'm alright. lol I have a similar situation---not exactly similar but sort of--about honesty. I have to decide whether it's worth it or not to confront a friend.

I'll probably just wait and see how things play-out. This might not be the time. It might be much ado about nothing on my part. This is sort of weird, but sometimes PMS makes me a little hyper sensitive, so I'm going to wait until I am thinking more clearly.
