Anx

always landscapes and buildings that i remember from when i was little.

furniture, bends of roads, street signs, abandoned shops.

certain songs - they can even be new songs - can remind me of a stretch of road we'd drive along when i was little - and that makes me very nostalgic.

Okay, Anx is making my grey matter twitch a bit...

Old tv programmes always make me a bit mushy. Photographs, of course. And landscapes. nod

I don't know why... a few times lately, I've been visiting this website devoted to my old home town. God knows why because I absolutely loathed it when I lived there lol and, whenever I have to go back, I am instantly reminded of why I left. disbelief But it's like I'm trying to re-connect with my roots, somehow... confuse I'm not sure why I've been drawn to it.

Honestly?

The smell of suntan oil, clove cigarettes, and bar food. It always brings me back to my mid 20's when I had the most fun of my life.

Also, certain 80's (and now 90's) songs bring me back and make me smile. I REALLY miss those days.

Things that remind me of the 80s make me nostalgic. Life was easier back then. I can get nostalgic about much more recent things too though, like some of the adventures I had in Canada, or even Japan even though it was just last year.

Sometimes it's mushy nostalgia and other times sigh nostalgia. I can't tell what seperates the two other than the feeling though, because they're all positive memories.

Mara

I know this sounds weird, but I'm actually still very nostalgic about 2006. There was a lot of great music that came out last year that I'm still listening discovering.

And the concerts blew my mind.
