I'm only a girlie girl in the sense that I love makeup & a good shoe BUT I generally don't paint my nails. I'll do my toes sometimes in summer but it's not a necessity for me, I just don't make time for it. Haven't painted my fingernails in YEARS...

the only colors of nailpolish i have anymore are clear & black. i don't use them much.

I bite my nails almost down to the skin. I have to keep them short. I can't do shit with long nails.....especially when I work with clay. I have a cosmetic bag full of polish, but I don't use it often. I think the last time I painted my nails was Halloween. I've used all different types of colors over the years. I usually go for something glittery, in shades of blue, silver, purple. Sometimes black. In high school I used to wear neon colors that used to half blind people. I still wear neon and off the wall colors from time to time. I feel a lot younger whenever I wear neon polish. I still have some mood polish that changes colors in the sun. It's probably dried up by now. I haven't buffed/oiled my nails in a long time. I will tonight though since you've reminded me with this thread.

I don't polish my finger or toenails either. I tend to keep my nails cut short anyway, since I seem to break a nail easily.

My fave shades seem to be a bright killer orange or some kind of pearly pink - I have a weakness for pink polish & lip gloss apparently

I always have polish on my toes, usually red but it depends on my mood.
I sometimes polish my fingernails, usually clear but I have a lot of different colours.
I'd polish my fingernails more often but it really bothers me if I have even a little chip in the polish. The polish has to be perfect.

I paint them sometimes. Usually just pale pink, though I have funky colors and sometimes if I'm going out I'll do fun things to match an outfit.

i like a french manicure for my fingernails but if they get buffed i'm doing good let alone messing with a french manicure. i had veneers last summer for a special occasion and would do those again for a wedding or the like.

i am very brand specific. i guess that's what companies like. get you tied to their product at an early age and get a loyal customer. i consistently use revlon for lipstick and nailpolish and am routinely disappointed when i venture out of that line. (save for some sally hanson hard as nails or something like that)

I have tons of reds - dark reds, bright reds, sheer reds, etc. Even a couple shimmery/glittery ones. I love red nail polish.
I also have many nude/white shades. I use these frequently in summer or when I'm busy because it doesn't show up much if it chips.
Also quite a few purples - pale purple to dark, dark purple. I know, scary right?
I also have three blacks - one is shimmery, one is just flat black with high gloss, and the other is shimmery almost grey black.

I have other colors, but those are my favorites right now.

i never had my nails painted. i do bite my fingernails. i wanna try getting a manicure... it sounds like it would be fun. oh and i def. need a pedicure. though i never had either and i'm not sure how much they cost.

I always have my finger and toe nails painted. I don't think that I have had my nails without polish for longer than 2 days since I was in 7th grade. I buy a lot of different brands of polish and I tend to buy pinks and reds, but lately I have been using a copper color a lot.

Well, I'm a college student and I don't have classes on Wednesdays. That is my day to do everything. I do my laundry, I run my errands, and I make sure to do my nails.

My nails are always polished, but how depends on the length. When they're longer I'll wear a french manicure, but once in a while (after a few break) I'll trim them quite short and wear color on them.
My toes always have color and I'll wear funky colors when I've go the french manicure...when my nails are painted colors I match my toes with them.

See, that's my problem. I have oily skin, and nail polish starts to chip off by the next day, ALWAYS. So I don't even bother a lot of the time. Part of why I mostly wear flesh-tones when I wear it is so that I can stand the chipping for a few days, but even then, it bugs me.

So, if anybody has any great anti-chip strategies, share.
