I like Bubba Gumps at Pier 39 in SF, and Also a place called Joe's Crab Shack, that's across from Fisherman's Wharf, you get a ton of crab for a great price.

Have fun, when will you be in SF??

do you like indian food? then when in NYC, you MUST go to curry row!

it's 4th street between 1st and 2nd avenue in lower manhattan. the entire block is indian restaurants - just pick the one that looks best to you...they're all good and inexpensive.

also, if you like pizza, try Two Boots Pizza - they're all over the place in Greenwich Village. They specialize in New Orleans-style pizza - VERY yummy tomato sauce and crust, and toppings ranging from traditional to kinda crazy. Also very affordable, and very cute restaurants.

But really - in NYC, you can trip over a rock and find a great place to eat. nod

Natisse, in SF, go to Little Italy.....on Columbus Ave. (the only diagonal street in SF) there are a whole bunch of nice restaurants.....really cool! It's near Lombard St. (which I know you want to see.....). I was at Bubba Gumps on Pier 39 and thought is was a rip off..... neutral

AH! there's a little italy district in NYC, too...lots of great italian restaurants. just find mott street and you should be in good shape. i don't remember any one specific restaurant that's best...i always just picked whichever was least crowded because they were all good to me.

plus, ya never know who you'll run into in little italy...david bowie and iman live in that neighborhood, ya know... lurking

Bubba Gumps is pretty low priced...not fast food cheap but reasonable for what you get. And a fun atmosphere.

falloff man.....6 years ago I was in SF with my mom for a wedding, after that we spent a couple of days in SF, staying an Inn on Columbus Ave. Mom, ofcourse, wanted to go to bed early so she went to the inn and I was strolling in that area.....got to Broadway where all the stripjoints are...I was in for a lapdance! Not familiar with SF-lapdances some, some bitch talked me it to getting one from her and her friend in a seperate room.....she said: 'we will get you off.....' as if she knew that was exactly what I wanted.....I must say that it turned out to be the worst stripjoint-experience I've ever had in the US.....cost me a lot of money as well! pissed

I walked out and had a burrito..... neutral

I never went to the Paladium but I used to go to Club X at the Trockadero Transfer on Utah.
Those WERE the days.

I think so. I know Jesse Johnson performed there but not sure about Mazerati.

SF: My favorite place is Millennium but it's in an vegetarian/vegan/raw restaurant. Other places are the Soluna Lounge (Californian), Betelnut (pan-Asian), Zazie's (French), Fior d' Italia, and El Mansour or Aziza (Moroccan).

You can pretty much go anywhere in either the North Beach or Haight disctrict and find good eats.

Enjoy and welcome!

Arriba Arriba Mexican Cuisine / Hell's Kitchen

51st & 9th avenue.

I eat here alllll the time. The staff is friendly. Great, casual NYC dining (after work, meet up, big group, two people, lunch, dinner -- whatever). Open late, they play popular music, you can talk and laugh and have fun. The Sangrias are goooood. Strong drinks, delicious food. Make this an option if you can. smile

It can get really loud in here on most nights. So if you have a group they'd blend in.

The guy in the middle of this photo waited on us a few times. He's nice.
