So...today we went about looking to film the third segment of the "Whales" episode of the Learnalots today on the high seas. Anyway it started off ok, bit of confusion as any shoot does, people getting on the tour boat, kids running around.....we leave the calm and protected waters of Hamilton Harbour.....get out on the South Shore and the waves get rough. "Ok i can do this" i say to myself. bumpy-dee-bump! weeee!
hmmm....my stomach starts rolling and tumbling. hmm....my breathing gets heavy.....oh dear....
two hours into it, and right before we finally see the damn whales, the producer is hurling over the back of the damn boat. me. how embarrassing.
after that first "chuck", i get back up on deck and i'm feeling ok. it's always that initial aftermath after vomiting that you feel better. maybe its the adrenalin cuz vomiting is such a violent thing to happen to the human body. anyway, we see a few whales but they are playing shy today. they don't want to do too much today. you can't tell nature what to do.
one hour later, i'm now in the toilet dry heaving. what the fuck!?
that's it. i'm out for the count. i've abandoned the shoot. i am now below deck with my head down, sweating and about to pass out. i think i did. in fact, i'm pretty sure i did cuz next thing i know, we're coming back and we're just sailing past the 9 Beaches resort. not only all that, but i also crushed my index finger between two chairs and my right leg completely fell asleep.
i got home finally. my head is still spinning. i feel like i'm hung over.
what a day.

All bad things will come to pass.

Enjoy your time with your hair stylist while you can and do not forsake his advice about up and coming hairstyles or you'll be like that toilet sitting in the same place, flushing vomit day after day, unable to to change.
