what is a vegetable you always wanted to try?

I keep seeing jerusalem artichokes and taros in the supermarket and wondering what you do with them. Next time I go there I am gonna buy them and try them! Jerusalem artichokes looked good mashed with butter, salt and pepper, or in a soup.

Taro I still have to investigate hmmm

I want to try butternut squash and artichokes...and probably some more. I love vegetables, but my Mum was pretty old fashioned when it came to them, and I've never caught up!

easy! peel, remove seeds and cut up into 4cm cubes, toss in oil and stock powder (like vegeta) or morroccan seasoning and roast in 200°C oven until soft, about half an hour - easier than potatoes nod

I don't know what those are but I try everything I'm offered that doesn't drag across the ground

Is celeriac the root of celery?

And what's the difference between broccoli and broccolini? (don't say it's ni)

yes it is the root, and it has that amazing celery aroma without the string! you can roast it or mash it together with potatoes and garlic drooling

and broccolini
"Broccolini is a green vegetable resembling broccoli. Although often mistakenly identified as young broccoli, it is actually a natural hybrid of the cabbage family Brassica oleracea, a cross between broccoli and Chinese Kale. It was developed by the Sakata Seed Company of Yokohama, Japan. It is generally agreed that broccolini has a sweeter flavor than broccoli."
it is really nice nod

I'm sure it is, just looks like young broccolli or purple sprouting broccoli (which is very flavoursome BTW). It's the rediculous name i can't abide.

We don't call baby sweetcorn swetcornini, why call this hybrid anything other than baby brocoli?

I think in Spanish the vegetable is called Yuka, but I don't know in English.
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.
