what do you recommend I see and do? not looking for Disneyland, that kinda thing either I'd love to see the music industry and history here more than anything...

any suggestions?

Sunset in Hollywood. You gould go to the Whiskey or the Roxy where many famous bands have played.

3rd Street Prominade, Santa Monica is a good place to walk around & see a movie, maybe catch a celeb sighting.

Venice Beach is a kooky place to shop & peoplewatch.

Getty Museum in either Malibu or the new place above the 405 Freeway.

History? hmm maybe Olvera Street? the oldest part of LA, w/latin flair

I'm so glad to see you made it to the other side of America! I can tell you to walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame. There are a lot of things to do in Hollywood alone. Have lots of fun in the City of Angels!!!!
