Lots of diff lettuces, like iceberg, roman, ruccola, frisé... cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red peppers, red onions, pasta, chicken or salami... some shredded carrots maybe, a sprinkle of olive oil and a balsamico vinaigrette. drool

I make a lot of really good salads. There's the one with spicy Mayan chicken, roasted beets, and blood oranges (with a blood orange vinaigrette). A watermelon salad with red onions macerated in lime juice, feta cheese, kalamata olives, and fresh mint, drizzled with olive oil. A grilled steak salad with roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, feta, and a red wine vinaigrette. And a grilled chicken caesar with homemade dressing and croutons, parmesan cheese, and anchovies.

I like a 'salad' made from brown rice with finely chopped, shredded or diced:
chicken
onion
carrots
celery
radish

toss in some
peas
carrots

and dress with a little mustard & olive oil ...

YUM!

Wowugotit

I'm into cobb salads, taco salads, chef salads, etc.

Essential ingredients for me might be; boiled egg, turkey, chick peas, cucumber, ripe tomato, shredded swiss or American cheese, with a lettuce mixture that includes some green leaf.

That sounds so good. I haven't had any for a good long while. Gonna have to track down a loaf. I have trouble finding any that's sour enough for my liking. hmmm

I do miss the sourdough in San Francisco. It's just not the same in TX.
