Did you have a nice day?

I did.
Very relaxing after rushing around.
I put the boy on the bus to go to camp in Atlanta for a week. I going to miss him, but he'll have fun and maybe learn something.

What did you do today?

Mine started off terrible.I found out I'd been tricked, used and burned by somebody I thought I could trust who I gave all I could give to.

My wife and I getting a great deal on a brand new 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara sho' did help make things get better!

Guess you reap what you sow after all! woot!

It was near 80 degrees today in NYC.

Beautiful weather outside. Everybody and their mother was out today after hibernating all winter. All the sexy men with their shorts and all the hoochies with their...stuff eek

But it was a beautiful day overall

i spent all weekend spring cleaning my home, lol. i had family over
on sunday so i figured what the heck, that's as good an excuse as
any to really clean everything thoroughly.

inbetween i just took walks with my dog, drank lots of cherry and
strawberry lemonade in the garden and read Adrian Mole's Diary for
probably the 25th time since i was 14 lol.

today i'm at work pout
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

sunday was a beautiful day in chicago. i was tired, but i forced myself to take a walk and ended up at the wrecka stow (oopsies!), then i bought a carton of izze pear sodas and came back home, where i opened all the windows, worked on a CD project for stymie, listened to my new music and then curled up in bed with the new decemberists dvd and called it a day. not one of my worst sundays ever, by a long stretch. smile

That reminds me... environmentally friendly cleaning products suck ass. They smell nice, sure. And they're good for, ya know, the environment and all. And I've been using them for quite a while now, but last time I was at target money was tight, so I bought what was on sale, and you know what? It works SO MUCH BETTER. And was way, way cheaper.
Why does it have to be so hard to be ecologically-minded?

well, i kinda compromise between the two extremes - i get the trader joe's environmentally happy all-purpose cleaner. it smells really nice, it does a really good job, and it's supposed to be hippie-approved. though i LOVE the cleaning stuff at target...what's their fancy brand? method? i buy all their eucalyptus-mint stuff for my bathroom, i don't care how many holes it rips in our atmosphere.

Actually, the Method stuff is what I was talking about. lol That stuff IS environmentally friendly. I just picked up some 409 last time and boy HOWDY does it work a million times better. lol

Huh! lol

Actually, come to think of it, most of my Method stuff is for happy bathroom smells. The only actual cleaning thingie I have by Method is the shower spray, which I think works really well.

It's true, unfortunately. I use Method and Seventh Generation most of the time, but I also have a bottle of SoftScrub, Clorox, and 409 for the occasional hardcore chemical fest. lol

I think "most of the time" is an acceptable thing. wink

I had a very nice day yesterday. Got to wake up with my girlfriend (and associated pleasures), we had a late breakfast at our favorite date restaurant and stopped into the neato store next door where I got a big bottle of great bubble bath (I was out omfg ). Then we went for a walk through my neighborhood, stopped at the bead store, hung out in the park and watched dogs play in the fountain. . .

And then she left and my best friend came over for dinner.

And then I went to bed at a reasonable hour, which I've been bad about lately.
