Yeah, and "meat is murder" rants are not provocative in the slightest. I'm glad you've got things straight as usual. thumbs up!

and as everyone knows, i'm SO overly aggressive about pushing vegetarianism on everyone. and even if i weren't, it's nice to see you're always handy with the pre-emptive strike. hug

I know you guys are joking around and having fun...but I really want to know more about this no meat crap...are the protein subs high in fat? what are the best, in your opinion....

Actually you are sometimes, even though you might not notice it yourself. nod

And it's not just you either, vegetarians in general aren't pro-vegetables as much as they are anti-meat, at least not when people's diet is being discussed. I wouldn't mind it at all if they could just eat whatever they want and let us eat whatever we want.

tons of vegetables are high in protein - spinach, for example, has tons of the stuff. the "fact" that a vegetarian diet lacks protein is a myth, most likely constructed by the meat industry and kept alive by folks looking for a reason not to make the switch. it's true - there ARE necessary transitions to be made when you take on a vegetarian diet, or else you can really do a number on yourself - but that's true with ANY diet that isn't balanced, meat-based or no.

well, I'm vegetarian due to a process of meat elimination over the years in my diet. Lemme explain: -My dad is muslim, so I don't eat pork, -I don't eat steak, ribs, or anyhing similar to that b/c I have a problem chewing the meat and I can never break down the food well enough to swallow, -I don't eat beef often. After that, there was just chicken, and after a while chicken is yucky. So I figured I might as well not eat meat at since I have so many complications with it. I gave it up (I eat fish but I don't consider it meat- Catholic upbringing I guess) several years ago and I never thought abt it again. That is why I'm vegetarian. I don't preach abt animal rights and I don't hate ppl that eat meat.

I think retina wouldn't react with pro-meat if the stance wasn't anti-meat, and more pro-vegetables.

and frankly, if this turns into a fight you will both be vegetables. smoker

i think that's kind of a silly slant to put on the discussion. it's like saying that vegetarians are racist because we discriminate against meat. and, i mean, i realize some people do org from bizarro world, so that may make perfect sense to them. but i'm limited to my simplistic earthling logic, so the act of not eating meat remains a friendly component of my choice to enjoy vegetables in its stead. i'm an intolerant fuck, what can i tell ya. shrug

No, it's like saying that vegetarians are calling meat-eaters murdurers. Because they are.

just by virtue of our not eating meat, you think we're specifically sending you that message? so i should then assume that by your eating meat, you're saying that meat-eaters are calling vegetarians a threat to your way of life?

wow.

seriously: WOW. confused

Did anyone bring up the horrors of the meat industry yet? Both in how they treat animals before they're slaughtered, not to mention how they treat workers and their general corrupt business practices?

and that represents every single vegetarian in the world, or for that matter, every vegetarian on the org, to the extent to which you can make defensive/borderline-offensive statements without so much as getting a clear idea of what an individual's investment may be?

ok, that makes perfect retina sense. lol

Of course not. I never said that, you did. But there are many enough to make it provocative.

to the extent to which you can make defensive/borderline-offensive statements without so much as getting a clear idea of what an individual's investment may be?

So talking about why I like meat is borderline offensive but calling meat-eaters murdurers is not? Yeah that makes perfect Anx sense. falloff
