So now it's Tuesday.

Left the house at 9am, traffic was bad, but still, the taxi driver 'knew the best way' and proceeded to take us all around the houses before we finally made it to the embassy. An hour and a half to travel no more than 25kms. Went almost straight up to get my passport and stamped affirmation, but no, they've lost my passport and affirmation. We waited in the embassy for 1 and a 1/2 hours. They came out every 10-20 minutes to ask us if we could wait a little longer, and finally they found my passport and the affirmation. I had a go at the poor girl whose fault it almost certainly wasn't, about how we now didn't have enough time to get married, and that other embassies charge up to 5 times less for the same service, and we headed to the translation place. Got that done and came home. So, tomorrow we're off to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then hopefully we'll come back here to the district office to get married. I can feel a letter coming on, as my father would say. I've got HM's Consul's address and I've fire in my belly. I wanted to marry on the 23rd since it was the 23rd when we first hooked up (23rd June 2001), but hopefully tomorrow will go more smoothly and we'll be married.
