Oh god. Trust you to like that.

the book's better than both! nana

The story may be better than of the film but nothing beats Nicholson on his rampage, he virtually made that film!

Aliens 1, 2 and 3.
I also like "Scarey Movie" spoofs, particularily the James Wood/exorcist scene. He was great.

Halloween really freeked me out! But psychological thrillers scare me the most. I think some of the stories are so creepy they freek me out more than someone getting stabbed or something. I just think that is more gross than scary.

Although Sleepaway Camp really scared me at the end!

The ending of that movie was seriously demented. It takes a really sharp turn from silly campy horror movie to dark demented horror movie in a matter of seconds. That scene with "her" and her boyfriend still makes me uneasy even when I see it today.

The original Night of the Living Dead(1968 black and white)....I was about 10 at the time. Scared the B'Jesus out of me. That was back in the day when you could pay once and sit in the theatre and watch it a second time. All the older neighborhood kids wanted to stay and watch it again. I sat there with my head under my jacket wanting to go home, but peeking out now and then. Nothing like Zombies.

The original Halloween. The later versions got hokier and hokier. Anytime a monster/boogeyman can't die or be killed then the movie loses its appeal to me.

Silence of the Lambs

Here's some good ones too:

I Saw What You Did And I Know Who You Are, with John Ireland, Joan Crawford.

Dead Ringer with Bette Davis

Is silence of the lambs considered a horror?

I love that movie boxed

Happiness.

And I couldn't make it through Perfume very recently.

I totally agree! Happiness was really disturbing. Pink Flamingos is even more disturbing. Killing a chicken and eating dog poop, lord have mercy.

The Descent is really terrorizing. It's a really good film. Sublime was interesting also.
America's political system used to be about the "pursuit of happiness." Now more and more of us want to stop chasing it and have it delivered.

Yes, but Happiness is not a horror movie. Horrific things happen in that movie in regards to what is acceptable in everyday life - but not horror. I would classify this more of a drama.

Still - it is quite disturbing! confused
