Vegetables

Hello, again everyone!

I want to start encorporating vegetables and fish in to my diet,
but i realize how few vegetables i am familiar with. Anyone
has any suggestion on the vegetables i should get?

Some of the most delicious and nutrient-dense:

  • Sweet potatoes, droooool.
  • Kale, freakin' yum. You can just feel yourself getting healthier when you eat kale.
  • Broccoli. Listen, I make the best broccoli in the world. Wash some fresh heads of broccoli. Cut into florets. Put a tiny bit of water in a skillet, like less than a quarter of a cup. Throw in a few pats of butter, up to half a stick, and some garlic or garlic powder, salt and pepper. You can also use Adobo. Bring to a sizzling boil, throw in the broccoli, cover and cook on high till tender-crisp. FUCKING DELICIOUS. Listen to me, my kids' friends request my broccoli, that's how good it is. Or that's how weird they are. Whatever. It's full of fiber, vitamin C, and has more calcium, cup for cup, than milk.
  • All kinds of mushrooms - portobello, shiitake, regular white button. Sauteed in butter with fresh herbs, they are the best thing ever. They support your immune system too.

Swiss Chard is really good...steam it in about a half inch of water in a dutch oven and cook up some minced garlic in a pan with olive oil...once the garlic is cooked and the Chard has wilted, drain and put the chard in the garlic/oil mixture and add either some canned/jar white navy beans or cannili beans...

drool It's amazing stuff.

Well if they're not vegetables they must be one of them. I say they're animals, because you can't eat minerals.
