Argh!!! I just got back from Big Sur, CA!!! Noooo!!! I didn't want to come back. Big Sur is pretty much unincorporated land south of Carmel. It's an almost 90 mile stretch of heaven. I was visiting my friend who lives in the Big Sur River Valley She's a massage therapist and has her own shop in this cute little "town", lives in an apartment right next door, with the sound of the river as a constant.
 I wanted her to kidnap me. I didn't want to leave. It was magical!!!! It was like being in Lord of the Rings or a renaissance fair!!! No one wears make up, shave their armpits, and they smoke an enormous amount of pot. It is completely laid back, and I WANT IT!!!!

Will you adopt me? I think you'd rather your friend in that little laid back town adopt you and ME. I could handle a life of no make up or shaving and smoking pot! I don't think my husband would like it tho  | |

Hi Gemini, I went to grad school in Monterey for 2 years and I am going camping in Big Sur this summer for a week. Yeah! I can understand your desire to get back there! From the pics youposted, can you tell me the name of the restaurant in which everyone is on the patio? That is where my husband and I had our 1st date. We can never remember the name except to say that it is mythological or something. Neptune, Phoenix,...? I hope to get back there this summer. Thanx in advance | |
