Thinking of relocating to Phoenix, Arizona

Is there anyone on here that can give me some advise/feedback on the job market, nightlife, dating scene, etc?

I already know that it is hot and I can tolerate that. lol

Thanks!

The legal job market crashed during my time in law school (1999-2002), thanks to the recession, and jobs were hard to come by. However, a Phoenix law firm was soliciting resumes from students at my school in Indianapolis. I figure that if a Phoenix firm needed to include Indianapolis in their recruiting efforts at a time when there was no shortage of qualified candidates, then the economy there must have been pretty good. (To be sure, this was over five years ago.)

As far as the nightlife is concerned,

I am stationed about 2 hours away from Phoenix and if I'm not mistaken the economy is on the upswing, judging on the expansion of the surrounding areas...the nightlife is decent....its no NYC or Vegas, but I haven't heard any complaints from my troops when they go down there.....there's even a long standing rumor that the state is trying to connect the Phoenix/Tucson areas into a megametropolis....in any event, I think the area is nice.....I'm seriously planning on living there when I retire from the military in about 5 or so years.....

You know, Finess might take offense to you calling him a scorpion. Just saying.

I have a brother and sister-in-law living in the Phoenix area. From what I've heard (I don't live there, mind you), it's doing pretty well as far as jobs go. Good luck to ya.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

AHH! My hometown!

If you can take the heat (literally) you'll love it there...it's still a young city among 'big' cities...from what I've heard the job market is great right now...cost of living is quickly increasing due to a real estate boom...but its still has the laid back feel it did when I grew up there. As far as nightlife...Scottsdale is the place to be (and soon Glendale where the Super Bowl will be next year)...Tempe is fun too...college town.

I would move back in a hearbeat.
Every minute of last night is on my face today....
