Did anyone else LOVE this short lived HBO show????

IMO this was one of the most brilliantly written comedies of this decade. It's a shame it only lasted on season. You get the writing talents of Michael Patrick King (Sex & The City) and the acting of Lisa Kudrow (Friends) and wham...a great comedy/drama/mockumentary with all the camp, wit, laughs you could ask for.

Anyone else love this show? Favorite episode? Scene? Tag Line?

'I dont wanna SEE that!!!!'

peace

loved it. brilliant show. very dark and kind of sad, as funny as it is.

"note to self: i don't want to SEE that.
note to self: i don't WANT to see that."

i love mickey. he cracks me up. the scene of him dancing in the sound booth as val records "i will survive" for the credits... so funny.

Valerie Cherish: You see puppies, I see Korean barbeque!

-----
Valerie Cherish: Instead of the barbeque line I could say, "If I let you have the puppies I'll have to let weird old Mr. Schmidt have a *SATAN* flag!" See, that's good, because EVERYBODY hates Satan!

I loved that Mickey thought he was so closeted and every time he would nellie out Valerie would give a quick look to the camera as if to say ...'Um...yeah..not so much' LOL!

I also love Valerie doing the 'time out' sign and telling Jane to 'cut' or to 'flag it'....LOL....

Lisa Kudrow is one of the strongest actresses on the map, she's amazingly good at Drama as much Comedy and probably more.

The scene at the award show where the presenter introduces the whole cast before her, and she thought he forgot her and she CHOKE in tears but quickly recovered when she got called. definitely AMAZING acting.

mickey was that show's secret weapon. i love when he is worried about her talking about him being gay on camera, since it's blatantly obvious he is gay, and her akwardness at not knowing what to say.

smart smart show.

It's so subtle so much of the time that it takes couple viewings to really get some scenes...especially those who dont know camp when they see it...esp the Mickey/Valerie scenes....

When Mickey tells Val if she needs someone to play the role of 'Big Dick' and suggested his BF with the hidden camera rolling....CLASSIC!

I LOVED THAT SCENE..

I love how she always ends up with pie on her face...like the People Choice Awards episode when she finds out her dress is backwards AND during the telecast the writer she took as a date (b/c she was 'fat' and nobody liked her) had to move over to allow the winners through and her big ass was in Val's face....Val's facial expression towards the camera made me laugh out loud.

Her facial expression cracked me up in the Palm Springs episode when her friend Donna took her bikini top off with the cameras rolling...Brilliant!!!!

the backward dress yes yes YES!

also, when she acts like she's about the littlest details on acting:

Val to Burrows: "is it Aawnt Sassy or Aaant Sassy 'cause he said Aawnt" LMFAO
