oh, THAT show. i watched a couple of episodes. i thought it was really clever and witty, but too much expository narration for my taste. boxed

that show is almost impossible to watch out of order or without having seen the prior episodes. it's one of the few sitcoms that not only had through stroy lines, but also masterfully built long running though never over-worked subtle running gags in.

and the meta-gags are genius and subtle.

you should really give it another shot on netflix. i am a comedy snob, and i think it is one of the best sitcoms ever. smaaaaart show, so naturally it was bound to be cancelled.

yeah, maybe i'll give it another chance. i love david cross. i'm one of the very few people who found "run ronnie run" entertaining. (i'm not proud!) the times i watched AD, though, i felt like someone was calling me on their cell phone and wouldn't shut up about their day. but i didn't mind it when waylon jennings did narration on dukes of hazzard, so i should keep my mind open.

i liked run ronnie run, but i liked mr show.

seriously, from one comedy writer to another... trust me. it is one of the best written sitcoms in american history, and a fantastic ensemble cast. nothing short of brilliant.

Star Trek: Enterprise

I thought that show was okay, but most Star Trek fans hated it.

I thought the pilot was really good (kind of hinted at what Battlestar Gallactica would do, stylewise) but it went downhill very quickly

yea, that was a terrible idea. the whole reason people connected to that show was because it was closer to their livs than almost anything on tv in the way of sitcoms to that point. suddenly the lotto thing happens, and no one can connect to it.

dumb choice.

but up to that point, it's still a damn fine show.

Oh hell, when I was 11 I thought Dukes and Three's Company were the best shows in the history of television.
