I'm much happier now that I have hardwood floors. Most of the time I can't have the cats (I have two) sleep with me because my boy cat is too hyper at night and keeps me up, so I close the door too at night.

I was reading an article about that very thing recently and the vet who wrote it said to try to keep your cats up during the day so they sleep more at night...I just don't think that's natural for them.
