What position do you sleep in? Don't think nasty, now! Ok what position do you sleep in?
Do you tend to move around a lot or stay still? Ok me I sleep on my sides most of the time and I don't move around much. I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

Ex-Moderator | I most often sleep on my yummy, one arm above my head hugging the pillow. But sometimes I sleep on my back. Sometimes I sleep on my side, but that's pretty rare. I always used to sleep that way when I was a kid.
I move around a considerable amount, usually flipping from side to side. I'm often a light sleeper and I wake up a few times a night. |

Side. Tend to flip around. Prefer to have TV or talk radio on while I'm trying to get there.

I usually sleep with the TV on. I sleep on my side and I would prefer to sleep facing away from the TV, however, I sleep on whichever side the my nostril is stopped up. That way the nostril that's not stopped up isn't smashed up against the pillow. I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09

I am such a restless sleeper it's unreal. I have trouble breathing, can never get comfortable, hardly EVER sleep through the whole night, it totally sucks.
The least annoying positions for me are on my stomach or left side.

I start on my left side or stomach but invariably wind up on my right side and snoring like an ogre.

Fecal position.. Fetal position (British English: foetal) is a medical term used to describe the positioning of the body of a prenatal fetus as it develops. In this position, the back is curved, the head is bowed, and the limbs are bent and drawn up to the torso. This position is used in the medical profession to minimize injury to the neck and chest. It is also often displayed by persons suffering from mental illness. Sometimes, when a person has suffered extreme physical or psychological trauma (including massive stress), they will assume the fetal position or a similar position in which the back is curved forward, the legs are brought up as tightly against the abdomen as possible, the head is bowed as close to the abdomen as possible, and the arms are wrapped around the head to prevent further trauma. This position provides better protection to the brain and vital organs than simply lying spread out on the ground, so it is obvious as to why it evolved as an instinctual reaction to extreme stress or trauma when the brain is no longer able to cope with the surrounding environment, and in essence "shuts down" temporarily. Many people assume this position when sleeping, especially when the body becomes cold. Some people recommend that if a Brown Bear attacks and it is not possible to get away, the person should lie down in a fetal position and put his/her hands around the head to protect from bites. This may reduce damage to vital organs. [Edited 4/14/07 18:20pm]

I used to always fall asleep on my stomach, but since I had the most horrible neck strain that lasted almost two months about three years ago, I fall asleep on my side. I can fall asleep on my back too, but only when I'm really really relaxed.

On my side (I turn over several times per night). Unless I'm having trouble breathing; then I sleep on my back with an extra pillow. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I used to sleep on my stomach and my chiropractor made me stop. Evidently, it's not healthy to have your neck torqued all night. When I stopped and got a special pillow, my neck problems eased up enormously.
