I've been using Vista since launch, seems ok to me...but i have an uber high end custom built dream machine that makes geeks cream in their pants.

I've yet to see why ppl are complaining about it so much. I think XP was easier to locate files.

I'm not a computer geek so I don't know if something is awful or not.

I think its just interesting how they've copied other programs. We used to use AOL's brower. They completely made Internet Explorer just like that browser.

I think my Thai computer uses Dos or Basic or something.

Alls I know is, it won't even start up until I pour some rice whiskey in the flippy disc slot and give it a good kick.

Whilst Vista can run on 1GB, for optimum performance you ideally need 2gb of RAM which is basically standard in all mid-end PCs you can buy today, so that's no concern.

As for graphics card, Vista's new 3D interface can run on 64mb cards (see vista on macbooks) but you probably want 128mb - most cards these days in the low-end range are 128mb.
