Avoided people you know casually because you just dont feel like saying hi and talking? its not because i don't like them, i just dont feel like it. i guess its rude but, i don't know i guess i'm socially lazy....

oh hell yeah, i used to do that all the time. it was never anything personal, i was just either in a hurry or not in a headspace to make conversation. usually when i'm walking from point a to point b, my mind is light years away anyhow.

there are a couple of people in my neighborhood i always see and i try not to talk to because i get a strong feeling that if i so much as said hi, it would open the floodgates to having to endure endless life story monologs. people like that are social predators, they prey on people who are too nice to say "i don't want to listen to your boring ass blather, buh bye" and i just don't want to get into all that. i'm a big ol' snob but oh well. when i go out for a carton of milk, it's not a social call.

when someone catches me, i'm just like "oh damn, here we go, why did'nt i wrap around to the other isle in the store and just made my getaway, THE DOOR IS RIGHT THERE!" but they dont know this, i continous unenthusiastic 'thats true' comments to their boring ass incidents earlier in the day dont always work. My smile and small steps towards the exit doesn't always work either...better luck next time
