Ya do realise Linux is a complicated beast, don't you? The official Linux for PS3 is "Yellow Dog Linux" and so that should be the one to install, as it should have no problems recognising that it's on a PS3. It's not the most user-friendly though. That's not to say it's not userfriendly. What the hell - I don't know what I'm talking about, try it like I'm going to, then just connect to the internet and download your emulators.
