I hardly ever eat them, but if I'm going to, I like margarine and chili. smile

When I ate dairy I would do butter and cheddar or parmesan.

Gawd dammit. I don't even fuckin' LIKE potatoes and now I want a baked potato and chili. Neither of which I have, so I'm going to have to go to the store. And I don't have a microwave, so I'm going to have to figure out how to use my oven!

Curse the org.

So, how hot, for how long? Seriously, I do know how to turn my oven on, but I've never baked a potato.

i poke holes in mine with a fork, wrap it in tin foil. you COULD put a little olive oil in the foil too.... but it's not necessary. i honestly don't know how hot or how long i cook them. i think maybe 300 or 350? around 30 min? tbh, i usually just keep checking it! lol

maybe we should check it out online. nod

Yeah, depending on the size, usually about an hour. Same with sweets. I like baking sweets for an extra long time, until they're nothing but sugary mush inside. drool With rivers of butter, a pinch of sea salt and pepper...I think I need to go make one right now.

Skin although it has to be very oven crispy.

I've always used Ranch dressing on mine.....with butter and salt. I'll use sour cream if I don't have ranch though. Occasionally I'll order one with ranch, cheese, and bacon bits. I use butter and brown sugar in my baked sweet potatoes.

i just discovered the instant baked potato. it's total bachelor pad cooking. it's wrapped in plastic and you throw it in the microwave for 8 minutes and then it's done. it's probably dipped in plutonium or something, but oh well. it's fast and one tater fills me up for the night. i'm thinking i may want to top it with broc or cauliflower so it's not as much of a starch fiesta.

i've seen that of the sweet potato variety. i want to try one next time i see it. nod

sweet potato, butter, brown sugar... drool

My mom made baked sweet potatoes for Easter.
