I dont hate my job/work but I cant help but get a little depressed when I think that I spend 10 hrs a day at this place when I could be spending it with my family. just seems unfair in a way. But I work the 10 hrs so that I can get every other Friday off which means this a 3 day weekend for me

Matter of fact, weren't most philosophers independantly wealthy, and had the luxury? It's not like they had to chissel stones for buildings, haul water ( this was before the Romans and aquaducts), fish all day, then hang out and discuss allegories.
