it'd be interesting to start a thread asking if we've ever screwed anyone over.

i think we all do...though it's a reason i try never to think of myself as a "victim" when i'm screwed over. it's just karma balancing itself out. it doesn't make what happens to me right, but it balances out the way i cope with it.

Exactly nod We all have our days when we feel like the world is against only us, but in general, no, because it is a balance, I believe.

I guess that's true. But I really can't think of many instances where I tried to screw someone else over. That's just not in my nature.

Good idea.

I think it's often (not always) more difficult to know whether you've screwed someone else over, than when knowing someone's screwed you over.

But some people do on occaision ask to be screwed over.
I try not to get involved in those kind of kicks.

Complications!! smile mad

I wouldnt say its when you've "tried" to screw someone over, more when your actions ended in someone getting screwed over, which you didnt really want, but had to deal with anyway....

Well in that case, I wouldn't necessarily call that screwing someone over. I would think of that as a simple mistake. shrug

Dont you think thats what the people who screw you over think though? or like to think? hmmm

We all make mistakes, sometimes they have more repercussions than others, we just have to hope we'll get away with it!

I guess what I mean is, we have to see it from both sides...

I don't care.

I hate money, and thats not whats important to me.

But you do care and it is important to you. It's more than the money, it's a trust and relationship issue and if people you are close to take your money -- it's sending you a clear message they don't respect you.

A beautiful young New York woman was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself into the ocean. But just before she could throw herself from the docks, a handsome young sailor stopped her.

"You have so much to live for," said the sailor. "Look, I'm off to Europe tomorrow and I can stow you away on my ship. I'll take care of you, bring you food every day, and keep you happy."

With nothing to lose, combined with the fact that she had always wanted to go to Europe, the woman accepted. That night the sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a lifeboat. From then on, every night he would bring her three sandwiches and make love to her until dawn.

Three weeks later she was discovered by the captain during a routine inspection.

"What are you doing here?" asked the captain.

"I have an arrangement with one of the sailors," she replied. "He brings me food and I get a free trip to Europe. Plus he's screwing me."

"He certainly is," replied the captain. "This is the Staten Island Ferry."

Basically it means if someone tries to get one over on you, or hustle you or swindle you.
