Best Film Characters Ever!

Here's my list. Let me know what you think and please add on! I may think of more later but here's what I came up with to get the ball rolling

1) Travis Bickle - Taxi Driver
2) Rocky Balboa - Rocky
3) Jake Lamotta - Raging Bull
4) Rupert Pupkin - King of comedy
5) Cool hand Luke - Cool Hand Luke
6) Tony Manero - Saturday Night Fever
7) Dirk Diggler- Boogie Nights

I really liked Burt Lancaster's character in The Swimmer. Very complex and interesting.

Your list is cool....here are some more that I really like:

1- Frank White ( King Of New York / Christopher Walken )

2- Michael Corleone ( The Godfather / Al Pacino )

3- Tony Montana ( Scarface / Al Pacino )

They´re all gangsters, I know...but gangsters are always fascinating...at least in movies.

Other cool characters would be Mad Max, John Rambo ( well, sometimes he seems to be a bit dumb but still...), and of course Bugs Bunny and Dorothy ( Wizard of Oz ) .

I would like to mention more females than just Dorothy but I have a hard time remembering any decent, cool and iconographic female movie characters....
