Who uses water filters?

I just bought a PUR for my sink.

I'm trying to not use 10,000,000 plastic bottles per month.

How do you like yours?

You don't need them in Sweden, and especially not in Norway where the tap water basically comes straight from the natural source, but I used one in Canada and in Japan. In my opinion it made the water kind of tasteless, maybe because it filtered out too many minerals, but if you can find one that only filters out the crap then I'm sure it's great.

We got a Brita initially, but my girlfriend didn't like that you have to hand wash it. Also it suggested you keep the water in the refrigerator, but we like room temperature water.

And the Brita for the faucet didn't seem to have a bypass (that I could tell, at least), so basically you're washing dishes with filtered water also.

I just put the PUR on the faucet this morning, and it was pretty good, but maybe a little tasteless, like Retina said.

Yup. That's my fave part. I buy bottled water now and again. And use those bottles over and over and over. lol

I think they say you're supposed to use one of those camping bottles. Regular bottles are like pidgeons; rife with disease!

I used to buy big jugs of spring water, then switched to a Brita fridge pitcher, but found we were having to refill it constantly, so I bought a Pur filter for the kitchen faucet last year. Much better. You can really taste the difference in the filtered water as compared to the non-filtered.

Fiji is my favorite for bottled.

Smart Water's good as well.

Has anyone tried a bottled water with caffeine in it? I could cut out sodas altogether if I could just find one. razz

I like Smart Water, too, but that's what we're giving up. I'm still buying my Crystal Geyser sparkling water, though.
