I am trying desperately to understand cats. I really am.


As some of you know I'm taking care of my sisters two cats, a domestic calico, and a Turkish Angora. These two cats are just wierd as fuck.


A few things I want to know are:

1) How the fuck does an animal that naps like one billion times a day survive? I mean, doesn't this disprove evolution? Why does something evolve into being a useless animal, yet with killer instincts? It makes no fucking sense! How the hell do you catch food and keep out of harms way when you're dumb ass is napping all day?


2) Why are they always rubbing the sides of their faces against my computer keyboard and laptop? They are ALWAYS rubbing the sides of their faces on it. It's like they're trying to wipe drool off on my expensive ass equipment? What purpose does that serve?

3) Why the fuck are they scared of my roomba? It's been 4 months since I've owned that sweet sweet motherfucker, and it hasn't tried to eat them yet. Why havent' their behavior adapted to understand it won't kill them? I mean, they're not afraid of my dishwasher or clothes washer/dryer units? Wierd ass animals.

1) You feed them. They've no need to hunt.

2) They're marking their scent on them. Be thankful they're fixed and not spraying instead.

3) No idea. But I bet it's fun to watch.

Most cats are scared of vacuums.....mine were. I used to have outdoor cats, so they'd sleep all day and party all night.....like rock stars.

We are trying to find ways to get rid of my Grandparents cat.. but the stupid thing wont take the hint and piss off..

1) Cats are "crepuscular," which means they are most active at dawn and dusk. They do their hunting at these times because their prey is most active. During the heat of the day, the cat is asleep.

It's instinct.

2) Cats have scent glands in their cheeks...so, like Carrie said, they're laying claim on all your stuff. Don't be surprised if they try to take it when they move out.

3) My cats are scared of my vacuum too. They'd probably have a heartattack if it was moving around all by itself!

Don't you all agree that these traits are not normal or desirable?


These fuckers are weird!




We should try breeding cats that are less cat like. Maybe a cat that likes to play fetch.

1) They need all the sleep they can get to energize themselves to get up eat and pooop. Besides, who wouldn't love to sleep all day?

2) It's a communication technique. They are trying to tell you something.

3) It makes noise and moves erratically.

my cat likes to sit on my shoes as if he were a hen and my shoes were eggs. that, or he'll cram his face into one of my shoes and go to sleep.

cats are weird fuckers, but i like that.
