It's working for you. smile

I've been cutting up my clothes recently. Tearing off hems, cutting up t-shirts. . . and getting rid of uncomfortable shoes. . .been feeling sort of anti-fashion lately, in my fashionable-Capitol-Hill-Hipster-esque sort of way. lol

I haven't pulled my sewing machine out of the box yet and I hate myself for it. Just the other day I was reminded of why I need to do it again. I'll have an idea of what I want in my head but can't find the exact garment I need. I think I lack confidence in my abilities. I need to pick up a beginning sewing book or something. I just bought a black baby doll dress and I want some leggings to go with it but I can't find the exact color I want. Leggings seem simple enough to make, you would think...

I would think, but that wouldn't be based on any actual knowledge. lol

There's a little fabric shop around here someplace that offers beginning sewing/construction classes for cheap. Maybe you could find something like that?

I love the themes of pleats and strips of fabric. I especially like the dress on the left.

My summer wardrobe is pretty music the same as my winter. Most of the time it's T-shirts and jeans.....only in the winter it's T-shirts, jeans/pants, and a jacket. lol Wonder if skorts will ever come back.

The look of a skirt.....the comfort of shorts. lol I wore them a lot during middle school.

Actually, me too. I've been going dress crazy lately. That's about all I've been buying for spring and summer.

I will say just one thing about the shoe fashions for SS07: I wanna be there when the stoopid women paying over $100 for a pair of espadrilles or other rope-soled shoes have them fall apart the first time they get caught in the rain, in a sloppy public restroom, or on a sticky barroom floor. lol
