Bart : He's been an enormous influence. Whatever he did, I studied, and then carefully did the opposite. Wellbeyond : My mentor for debates. Then of course I got more confident and triumphed in the legendary Fact Vs Opinion debate (the one on the old Org). RD Hull : wow.. I can't reveal what I learned because y'all are not ready. KLHK : Again, I learned a lot by counter-imitation and sometimes imitation ("BigToe") Moonbeam Anxiety : I learned you could bite without being mean. Icenine : I gotta thank him for the "revelations". No, I won't say a word. I'm forgetting some but this is a pretty good list.

Pook : A membership to the World of Bananas Club. UglyBrownEyes : a stress-ball shaped like Oceana's head. Matt :a new haircut. Ben : Catalan lessons Natsume :A box of chocolate. okay okay, back to the questions... aero, what would you consider to be the single most important event in history? and which event has most impacted you personally? The invention of the wheel. Before that, people just had to pull at things with all the friction from the ground, such their lovely wife (unless they carried her over the shoulder) like... As for the one event that personally affected me, I'll have to say 9/11 was the biggest, most shocking thing I ever witnessed. Although I did not lose anyone, something crumbled to ghte ground in myself that day.

Libertarian Party (as is your host) Republican Party Green Party The Reform Party Democratic Party Libertarian are just libertine librarians, so they are out. Unfortunately, I almost never vote FOR someone, always AGAINST. And at this stage, I guess I'd do the obvious and vote for the rotten Dems, so that I don't have to endure George Bush bad cowboy acting ("He forgot the GREATEST COUNTRY IN DA WORLD was after him", said in an over-relaxed, self-satisfied pose at the podium) In truth, I must now leave the premises for a previous engagement, but feel free to line up the questions. First, let's eliminate masturbation, because it's not a sport. It's hygiene. It's proven that horniness interferes with concentration. If we can ban all masturbation, workers everywhere would be constantly thinking hot sex, and pretty soon the hotels, closets and storage rooms would be filed with workers busy working the p. instead of contributing to our economic well-being. We'd tailspin into a mega depression that would only be offset by the resulting baby boom. The following sports are ranked from best to worst : Figure Skating (not that I like watching it, but it does have everything - it requires endurance, confidence, artistry and flexibility) Hockey! (it wasn't in your list!) Wrestling (greco-roman!) Soccer (they should trim the shorts) Basketball (they should ducking trim the shorts) Football Baseball Tennis Auto Racing

Also, how are you able to spend so much time on the Org while fighting a legal battle against Nestle, Inc. to have your likeness put back on the Aero chocolate bar packaging? I think Poutine should be slapped with a health care tax. Banning it outright would be foolish. It would just create another market for the bikers. As for your second question, the answer is that i'm amazingly focused and productive. I don't let the legal stuff get to me -- I let Londel handle that. Nestle argues that they had to take off my avatar from the package because some people thought it was satanic imagery. That's ludicrous when everybody knows I don't believe in heaven or hell.

Next question: Has this painting been an influence on your posting style or your eating habits? Yes indeed. When I saw that painting as a boy, I went to my parents and told them that I could hear much better if I had ears like that. They told me it was actually butchered cattle, which was really traumatic. And here I am... still scarred. [This message was edited Tue Sep 17 10:43:23 PDT 2002 by Aerogram]

I have never seen you as a pompous ass and I don't think that anyone who has ever read your posts would consider you an ass either, so your answer was on point. IceNine said: What is your opinion of self-righteous individuals who believe that their opinion or view is so much better than everyone else's? Have you ever felt like teaching them a lesson by attacking them with a logical argument that leaves them trapped by their own dogma? It is normal to believe your opinion has at least a slight edge, otherwise you wouldn't hold it or defend it. It is a good thing that not all people conform when they are in the minority. So it's important to take some of our beliefs and opinions seriously. That doesn't mean you have to go around believing you are infaillible. The more passionate you are, the more important it becomes to take a step away from your passion and look at other logical possibilities. It could be that your passion is slowly building walls around you that hides other aspects. In other words, it's ok to have strong opinions, as long as you don't behave like it's a dogma to which everyone in their right mind should conform. I've taught and learned my share of lessons. I rarely take on someone with whom I feel there is no possibility of dialogue. And when I do find something offensive enough to entertain a "lesson", it usually turns out that the person is heavily baiting, so it's kind of boring. A few have done so arrogantly enough to get my attention, but they have been rarer.. in fact practically non-existent.
