I remember going to the drive in and riding the merry go round that was in Theatre 2. It was always fun to run around there and eat hot dogs and pop corn in the back of my parents station wagon.
I also remember having to turn around and face the fence when the bad parts came on. You know pops wasn't about to go see a kids movie.

new jersey seashore, digging sand crabs with dad. seagulls keening on the wind and the smell of creosote tantalizing our noses. i was afraid of the sand crabs at first at first but then dad showed me how to find their little air holes and dig them up by tunneling under them. they were sort of creepy, sort of cool. we always let them go.
