Okay, I'm ALWAYS the last thing to know about things. confused Or to try things out.

If there's HOT gossip doing the rounds, I'm the last to know.

If there's some new technology launched, I'm the last person to buy it. Or it's gone through about 17 different versions before I get my hands on it. (This may have something to do with growing up in a house where 'technology' is a dirty word. My father wouldn't allow us to have a video recorder because he was convinced it would bring in 'smut and filth'. neutral)

If an amazing tv series is launched, I always miss the first episode. (I remember missing the first 'Knight Rider' when I was in junior school and all the kids talking about 'this talking car' excited confused)

NOW I find out there's been a new chocolate launched.... Mars Planets. whofarted

My mate Matthew was telling me about them last night - I don't know how he does it; he's like a confectionery pioneer, always at the forefront of things. He always sniffs out new stuff.

Apparently, they are the size of Maltesers and there are three types - crunchy, chocolatey and nougaty (I think), I so wanna try them!!!

bawl

So two questions:

1. Have you tried Mars Planets??? smile

2. Are you the first or last to know stuff??

1. that sounds like crazy european candy that we never get in america unless it's from a bodega that has import candy bars. that's the only place i can get mint aero bars. i freakin love those things. and the lion bars. i love those too. and what's the one with the weird honey crunchy foamy thing in the middle? yup, love that one. what do we have to look forward to in america? giant reeses cups. whoop de friggin do. and i'm saying that as a peanut butter lover!

2. i go through waves of being plugged into the info and being way in the dark. usually when i'm in the dark it means the rest of my life is really full and busy, and i don't have time to keep on top of candy bar news. and when i'm plugged in to candy bar news, i have nothing better to do, and that's okay too.

what's this thread about again? lol

Okay.... Wow! drool

Here's the blurb on the side of the bag: "Chewy ones, crispy ones, soft ones... it's Mars, but not as you know it!'

smile

My mate told me about these last night, then I was asking my colleagues if they'd tried them - hence the thread. (We have very intelligent conversations in work, as you can see geek lol). Then my mate popped to the shop on his break and, bless 'im, he picked up a packet for me. smile It just appeared, like magic.

The soft ones are the nougat-type centre that you usually get in a Mars. The chewy ones are like toffee poppets (small round balls of chocolate-covered toffee). The crunchy ones are almost like Matlesers, except the crunchy filling tastes more like Rice Krispies!

Yummy!

Highly recommended. geek

I'm great, thanks. Work's getting on my tits as always lol but, otherwise, great.

Feel a bit stuffed after eating lunch, a chocolate brownie that someone gave me AND a packet of Mars Planets, though. lol But I had to try them out, for the benefit of the Org. geek

I updated that thread, hun - it should have been highlighted when you logged on?? confuse Absolute rubbish evillol - and not even in a 'so bad, it's good' way. Just rubbish. disbelief And I fell asleep. redface I wouldn't recommend it, honestly.

Enjoy '300' tonight. hug

You'd LOVE UK candy by the sounds of it. I know Carrie went to Cadbury Land when she was here. :jealous: I can only dream of such things. sigh

And what's a 'bodega'? Is that like a small outlet or something? Like outside a train station?
