There is a rumour (from a fairly reliable source) that a box set collecting the pilot, as well as the first and second seasons on DVD, is in the works for a fall release. This makes me hesitant to pick up the second-season box, as I reeeeeaaaallly want the pilot. I think TP is dead to David. There is no way one can revisit all of that without compromise. It's a shame that they didn't just got one more season in. It was such a clusterfuck to all of the fans who patiently and religiously kept on with the show's constant breaks and time/day slots shifting. Now we have all dealt with the delay of the second season for what 5 years? Did you guys know it holds the record for most nominated drama series in the Emmys. Or at least did. I have heard of this rumor about all in one package, which I dismissed and then recanted. S2 is LACKING in all of the goodness of S1. It's gotta make fans angry that the same treatment wasn't given. I still scratch my head on the pilot thing. I have the pilot and never had an issue with the version. It's the correct edited version. I think Amazon needs to do a little clean up and figure out which one is the Pilot is which. Because I got the "Import" yet it is the american version that fits right with thte show. Sorry, I meant that S2 was Lacking in extras on the Box set. Oh S2 slumped right about the time Ben Horne reenacts the civil war. The slump amazingly disappears once the war is over and Ben Horne become sane again. Gosh, I remember SO much. Then again I didn't get into TP until the S1 box set came out. The import is the American version of the pilot? See, I've never been able to get a clear answer on that, so that's the reason I never picked up the import. Still, it costs a whole lot to get that puppy, so if the cost of getting a complete box is equal or less than picking up the import and the second season, then I'll just go with that for simplicity.
