MY oldest son Seth's friend did
Jake is no longer with us now, though back in the days when he was living there would be good and bad days. sometimes it would be easy to talk with him and other days he would not even know you. It was hard on the hard days. I read a lot about it back then to try to understand and help myself and Seth. It is interesting how the human mind can fragment off into different places and switch back and forth.

How do you or would you deal with that person? Yes, and it's fascinating and complicating and frustrating, all at the same time. It takes a lot of patience and communication to understand a person with MPD (I forget the new name for it). Most people with this disorder are very intelligent, and if they're comfortable talking about it, they can be really articulate. I think the key is to BELIEVE what they're telling you. It sounds bizarre, but it's their reality. And they're not crazy. It's how they've had to use their minds to survive some really horrible stuff. If anything, they're hyper-sane. Orgnote me if you wanna talk more, Meggy.

thanks Mach, Anx & Shelly.
Its is truely difficult to handle sometimes, other times its not so bad. When they split off of another personality and dont know who the main person is and you have to sit them down and explan that who they are is not who they really are is even harder to do. Every person that has MPD is extremly intelligent, and in a way I think that is why they have it. They were able to split off when something horrible happened to them, not many people can do that. About 3 years ago I had been diagnosed with MPD by my therapist, I can understand why she had now, but I havent had any symptoms for close to 2 years. Having to deal with a very close friend that has it is not all that hard when you have been there yourself. Sometimes they can go for a few days, a few weeks or even a few months without any splits. When you know of what had caused the trauma to trigger the MPD in the first place, how do you keep that away from the person if it was that persons family? Poppys, daisys life is crazy
