Drive-in theaters are terrific. I try to go a couple times every summer.

Yeah, hand-written letters. I used to do that in college. I still do postcards occasionally.

Kids today will never know how good Saturday morning cartoons used to be. I'm talking Johnny Quest, Flintstones, Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show, Superman/Batman Hour, Archie Comedy Hour, Space Ghost, Fat Albert, etc., etc.

Yes! Saturday mornings used to a very special time of the week. Very sad that's been lost forever.

Remember when television stations still signed off at night, and would have on an overnight test pattern? biggrin

At sign-on, a chirpy voice would announce the station call letters and say "Good morning! We now begin our broadcast day."

When the station would happen to experience technical difficulties, various other graphics would be aired:

Making a tape - the hardship that went into it! Rewinding and fastforwarding the tape to tighten it, setting aside a whoooole day to record it, let alone making a playlist! none of this "shuffle" crap.

And taping songs off the radio. sigh Downloading them, perfect quality, is just NOT the same disbelief

Now you can watch MTV when you wake up in the middle of the night. When I was little, it was random music and teletext!

I know, it IS better - but I miss that whole experience sigh

And I think its because I loved making tapes so much, that my ipod, constantly on shuffle, is just a total letdown.

Did you ever record songs on the other side of the tape, at exactly the right place after the one on the A side, so you could just listen to the same ones over again?! giggle

I was born in the 80's so I am aware of tape players and tapes, VHS, and DVDs.
I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

I get blank cassettes from drug stores and places like that that are too lazy to evaluate their stock. The stuff I tape are usually obscure vinyl-only mixes and I don't have the hardware to convert my vinyl into mp3s yet so I still do it old school.
