to have a picture of yourself hanging up in your house?






I just met a friend for coffee and dessert (I got decaf!) and her mother's boyfriend recently took what he thought was a rather nice photo of me. He blew it up and matted it and it's in black and white and if I do say so myself, it is a nice picture.

But now I don't know what to do with it! It just seems a little strange to put it on a wall in my house.


Maybe inside my closet...

I suppose to a parent might be ok.

I don't find anything wrong with putting that picture up, especially if it's one you really like.

It's ok. It's a weird picture in that it's a side of myself I don't really see. I normally have my contrived "photo face" in pictures but this one is more of a natural smile. I don't love it. But I find it an interesting picture of myself. If that makes any sense.

yeah i broke mine a few months ago by trying to put shoes on and stepping on the strap, TWICE in a row!
I finally got a new one a couple weeks ago.
Which is alright cause my old one was a giant sony which took floppy disks

You know what, though? I like the older cameras better actually. For taking photos of people, they are much more flattering. They get way too high of resolution these days and you can see every pore on someone's face from 20 feet away. Give me a softer finish any day.

I think if it's something someone took the time to make for you/of you, it's fine. Just don't put it in the bedroom It may be a waste in the hallway but at least it's a space people pass through so you wouldn't feel as self conscious about it as, say, the living room...

not at all...and leave it out in the open, don't put it in the closet!

now that i've thought of it, i've never had pix of me out on display in any living arrangement i've been in...i have more pictures of other people than i do of myself, and those i keep in my little photo album. i don't have much room for putting stuff in frames.

And I just realized, I actually already have one picture of just me on display. It's me hanging off a cable car in San Francisco in a pink polka-dotted rain coat. It's in a frame on my coffee table. A frame AzureStar's child made for me even!!
