Movie Nightmares Oh My God - I am going to see 'Mr Bean' the movie tonight. Has anyone seen this? What am I letting myself in for?? Actually, it was my choice - the mate that I'm going with and I love watching crappy, stupid films. I could do with a chuckle - and he's got the *best* sense of humour - so I'm hoping this'll do the trick. It'll either be so stupid it's funny or so stupid it hurts. I'll let you know later. But there is NO way I am asking for 'Mr Bean' when I get to the cashier. He can go first and I'll say "Same as him" What was the most embarrassing film you ever went to see?

Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd

man, stymie and i went to see 'codename: the cleaner' because there was nothing else in the city of chicago with available tickets the night we were out.

Thanks, love.
I think '300' will be a darn sight better than what I'm seeing. I really want to see that! Lars has already recommended it to me - something about action scenes and hordes of half-naked men. Enjoy! I think the WORST film I ever went to see was 'Spaced Invaders'. Diabolical!!! It was the only film I have ever considered walking out early on. I don't know why - I always stay to the end, even if I absolutely hate a film. Maybe tonight's the night.

I went and ask for a ticket and the guy was like "U sure". That's one way to promote it! When I went to see 'Notes On A Scandal', the guy behind the snack counter was a little, er, 'unusual'. I think he'd been there years, by the looks of it, and was going mad in the process. Every time someone asked for a hot dog or some popcorn he'd start going on about how he wouldn't touch it if you paid him, it tastes like crap, etc etc etc.. All in front of his Manager. She was, like, I'd love to do that in work!

well, there was that museum movie, but i was all "the other one has lucy liu, it might be good!" 'Codename: The Cleaner'?? Please. A synopsis. Is it bad bad or BAD BAD?? I love the way a bad film can feel like it's sucked the life out of you. I don't know how many times I've gone to the cinema with a mate and we feel like killing each other afterwards. . "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man" tied in first place with "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III".
They were actually both enjoyable in the way I had hoped for.

[Edited 4/3/07 11:36am] 'codename: the cleaner' was that really bad cedric the entertainer movie where he has amnesia and becomes a spy. the movie managed to highlight every stereotype, cliche, bad overused gag and bad plot device ever used in a movie. plus there was a completely unintentionally avant garde scene where cedric the entertainer dances with a riverdance troupe. and i think they were wearing lederhosen. i thought it was offensive, but i'm not sure who it was racist against. everyone in the world, i think.

Went to see? That implies I went to a theater and paid to see a bad movie. Probably 'Graffiti Bridge'. All the really embarrassing stuff I wait to see on video--like 'Josie And The Pussycats', 'Spiceworld', 'Tank Girl', etc.

There are some things which are beyond salvaging - Mr Bean's Holiday being one of them. Why, oh why, did I watch this turkey??! It was bloody awful - even my mate, who can find the funny side in anything, thought it was terrible. He said if he had to watch one more slapstick chase scene he was going to slit his wrists. DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE.

Ooooh, I bet that was an uncomfortable couple of hours. You're very brave to mention all those other films. I saw Britney Spears' 'Crossroads' on a flight once; it passed the time, I suppose. The guy was hot, that's the best thing I can say about it.
