Thanks for the encouragement.  what a beautiful attitude. not haughty or beligerent (sp?), but very balanced. i listen to loved ones regarding my choices as well. i usually think "there is a reason they are concerned, is it something i've ignored? or something i need to examine more closely?" but in the end, what shanti said is right. YOU are the only one who can make a decision as to your future. sometimes friends and family need to be reminded that it is your "mistake" to make. that's the only way we learn, right?
btw, i don't think you're making a mistake. i think what you two are doing is beautiful, and shows that neither of you were really ready to end it. | |
