Men, I swear.

About once a month I come home from work and wish my fiance was either gay, or a more feminine man so it would occur to him that certain things needs to be done in order to make this house continue to look nice. Granted, he does fine when I leave him an itemized list of what I want done, but I hate doing that because it makes me feel like, er, "the boss."

This causes stress, and an eventual "get away from me awhile I don't like you right now" moment. Alex knew my dispapointment thoroughly before he went to work last night.

So, here's something that amuses me. He knows exactly what buttons to push to make his life easier when he comes home:

1.) He gave me fantastic sex.
2.) When I came downstairs this morning, there was a huge thing of lilies on the bar counter. mad

He wins again!
This one's for you.

eh, just keep making the lists. If he doesn't get it without them and doesn't mind doing them I see no issue.

You know, I have myself mostly convinced of that, too. I still get annoyed when I think about the fact it should just naturally occur to him. Maybe eventually....

is this a "take the garbage out" kind of list?

shrug you could make it a shared list.
like something on the fridge with tasks for both.
both survey what needs to be done and
stroke the items off as they are finished
doveShe couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay dove

Yeah, that's what's going to have to happen. I guess I just always figured these things would occur to him to actually do without my needing to give him a list.

Most men just aren't like that.
Try to change that, or get frustrated with it takes away from the good things you have, like great sex and uhhh...

Not when there's an empty dishwasher right there. It's so annoying. I like to see a clean & perfect sink for at least a couple of hours. lol

although its a highly unscientific observation, most of the guys I know (including myself) who had a sister or many sisters don't have an issue with cleaning the house or what have you.....My wife sometimes actually hates that I will just jump up and start cleaning the house because she says it makes her feel like she's not up to the task....I just remind her that we both live there so to me its no big deal.....I try not to keep score...

...and we still have great "sack-time"....drooling

I do, however, draw the line at having to wear the french maid outfit.....hmph!

The only thing worse than the list is the look of disapproval when you don't complete it.....boxed lurking
