Some of those newfangled dvd players give off this static electricty that make me feel like formication.

I bought a Sony, non HDD DVD recorder and the image quality is great.
Are you talking about HDD DVD camcorders? That's what I'm talking about. | |

Are you talking about HDD DVD camcorders? That's what I'm talking about. I have a Sony non-HDD, as well. What I'm talking about are the recorders that can store to disc or internal hard drive. | |

Don't get into it yet. HD-DVD is gonna lose out to Blu-Ray and the players will get better as the technology improves. | |
