What are some of the things you have done or have happened that make you cringe or feel kinda crap.. not in a real bad way.. just like ohhh sheeit..

For instance today I was talking about someone and they just walked in the room and overheard.. I wasnt bitching or anything.. but still makes you feel pretty bad.. and theres no point explaining yourself cos you just gonna dig a deeper hole for yourself and make you look guilty lol...

I was at the grocery with my wife once, and a young lady that it had been widely rumored I was stepping out with just HAPPENED to get in the same checkout line behind us....so as karma would have it, the scanner stopped working...then when it came back up, a couple of my items wouldn't scan....so it increased my in line time with a seething wife.....NOT COOL AT ALL!!!!

one of my roommates heard me bitching about her to a friend earlier today

but i don't feel that guilty.

My Mum had a shop and sadly a couple of the regulars had kinda nicknames we gave them in secret..

my lil brother was about 2 or 3, and one of the customers came in the shop.. and he said - "hello Fat Jean.."

another pointing - "thats smelly Ann.."





he used to run up the street shouting "Suck it and see" at people - I was mortified.. he actually heard it from an Andrews Antacid advert from the telly..

Many years ago at a reception at a hotel where I'd believed the buffet to have been provided by said hotel, I made numerous disparaging remarks about both the unappetizing appearance and rather putrid taste of a certain item included on the buffet table. A female acquaintance standing nearby who'd overheard my critiques proceeded to tersely inform me that she had personally made that particular dish.

There really is no graceful way out of that sort of situation!
