Moderator | What Foreign License Plates Have You See Around Where You Live?? Today I saw a vehicle with a license plate from Missouri, USA.
I've seen some vehicles with plates from California, Texas, Minnesota, Florida and of course the usual out of province plates from BC, Saskatchewan, Ontario, PEI and NFLD. Must be cheaper to drive than to fly up to Canada Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! Beings I'm in California, the most foreign we get is Mexico and Canada. And even those are few and far between. Every once in a while, we'll see a UK plate, but it's sided with a state plate. |

Here in New York, I've seen license plates from just about every state, and even Canada.
The most interesting one I've see was one from ALASKA. ...now THAT'S a drive! By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

I started talking to a biker when we both ran out of gas in the same deserted nowhereland in northern Yukon a couple of summers ago. Turns out that he's in his sixties and has ridden his bike all the way from Atlanta. Now that is quite a trip, especially to do alone on a two-wheeler at that age!

Seems like EVERY other state other than mine. And they're ALWAYS in my way. I think if they all left, there would be no rush hour traffic. WHY THE HELL DO THE HUGE MOTOHOMES PULLING TRAILORS HAVE TO DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY DURING RUSH HOUR! Can't they wait until the locals get to work/home?

i HATE out of state people on freeways (in so cal, anyway). they always seem to be going ridiculously slow!

Now that I moved out of Israel, all the cars I see have foreign plates. Most of them are Canadians.

Living in Washington state, I see British Columbia (Canada) license plates all the time.
I remember seeing a Cadillac in Saint Malo, France, with New Jersey plates. And just this past Monday, I saw a car in downtown Seattle with a Guam license plate. I'm not sure whether that counts as a "foreign" plate, though, since Guam is a U.S. territory. (Indeed, the plate said, "Guam U.S.A.") Still, that's one long trip. I see that from time-to-time as "decoration" on German cars... specifically BMW's and Volkswagens. Usually they're just on the front, but I've also seen them on the back. On a somewhat related note, when I was living in a state that doesn't issue front license plates, I took an expired Massachusetts (my birth state) plate and put it on the front bumper. I'm not sure if that was legal, but in any event, one night someone stole the Massachusetts plate off my car.
